Default Shaft Alternator FIxed!

What make is the alternator, Larry?

Factory? or "home-grown?"

Factory, but I don't remember the name on it. Sorry. Has a built-in
regulator. A red wire with pushon connector turns it on and off, turns the
field current on and off. The big bolt in the black plastic case in back
is the output (battery) connector. There's a 3rd connector, a male pushon
recessed into the plastic back that has a wire that was always plugged into
it, but I haven't traced it to see what it does. There's no resistance to
ground or DC voltage on it. Probably connected to the on-off keyswitch at
one time, but that's bypassed when they replaced the original French system
with this one. Sorry I can't remember the name on it....
