Be carefull with that! I just finished a project on a 96ft yacht where 12
LCD screens were installed. They were 24V types and directly hooked onto the
24V net on the boat. After a few months ALL backlight units failed. They
couldn't stand the voltage being around 28V when the batteries were fully
charged. They ended up installing 24/24V DC-DC converters at every LCD.
These turn everything between 20 to 30V into 24V.
