Should it ever occur...
But I've got lots of sailing destinations within easy reach -- islands,
coves and bays, nice protected anchorages and access to great cruising grounds if I have the time to visit them. Planning to take a week in July for a nice long sail up to Beaver Island, down the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, then back to Marinette via the Sturgeon Bay canal. Karin Do you have any pics posted anywhere of the boat? Also do you think you will have access tot he internet at times to be able to post updates on what is happening out there? I'd like to know how the trip is going and what you are doing to deal with any adverse conditions or anything really interesting you might come across. Karin,, that makes two of us... I would never want Charlie Morgan anywhere
near my boat. Being rescued by him would be worse than than drowning. No way ,, I will take my chances with King Neptune. But :: if Larry is cruising by with a boat load of ladies? Now,, I may just go below and pull the plug .. Getting rescued by Larry is a good career move. =========== "KLC Lewis" wrote in message et... "Charlie Morgan" wrote in message ... CWM How about this: Until I am in such a condition and people ARE looking for me, the point is moot. Karin It's a stupid, selfish, and irresponsible thing to do for the reason I mentioned. CWM And I consider it far more stupid, selfish and irresponsible to expect others to put their own lives at risk to come to one's rescue when one has made the decision to put one's life in danger. Particularly if that "one" is me. So I'll make a deal with you: I insist that you do NOT come to my rescue. End of problem. Karin |

Karin,,, you must be a Republican. Charlie is obviously a Democrat.
In Charlie's world nobody takes responsibility for anything. If you hear someone scream out to you from the helicopter "it takes a village, we are here to save you" .. That would be Charlie. If you hear "got any naked women on board who need a rub down" That is Larry. If you call back "yes, I have the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders onboard and they need help" and you see a guy with grey hair jump out of the helicopter, and swimming toward your boat .. That's me. Don't worry though .............. I am not there to save you, I will have my hands full with "my cheerleaders". === "KLC Lewis" wrote in message et... "Charlie Morgan" wrote in message ... The problem is that you don't get to make this decision. They will be coming to look for you, Epirb or not. Your wrong-headed plan only serves to put others at greater risk. CWM I've already told them not to. If they do anyway, it's not my plan that put them at risk, but their own. Please excuse me for being responsible for myself. Karin |

But I'll take my camera and get plenty of video and stills, Insh'Allah. Karin |

My boat, my life, my decision. that I am able to drive my 5.7L V-8 Chevy Caprice Classic 120mph on my trip to Atlanta, let it be known by all that I am fully aware of the inherent dangers of driving my Chevy at 120mph down Interstate 20 and have chosen to drive that way with those dangers in mind. That would certainly do it, and would give me the ultimate sense of freedom. Americans, for the most part, don't want to be free. They want to be safe, while being *told* that they're free. Karin |
