I used to own a boat with an M18. It had a pencil zinc located in the heat
exchanger. On my heat exchanger it was screwed in from the bottom, pointing upward, on the port side of the unit. There was no other zinc so far as I know. Replacing it is just a matter of unscrewing the old one and screwing in the new. Then run the engine and make sure there are no leaks. --Alan Gomes "Baybyter" wrote in message ... Anyone familiar with the location of a pencil zinc on a Universal M-18 (14 hp) diesel engine? Is the procedure to replace this zinc simply to screw out the old one and screw in a new one? Would appreciate any advice |
