Pretty bombproof workhorse.
6 years..... remove/recondition the injectors, while you're waiting, fill the crankcase with "marvel mystery oil", inject a few tablespoonfuls of MMO to the combustion chamber, spin the starter, let sit for a few days/weeks. Will free up any stuck rings, etc. Suck out the MMO from the combustion chambers, reinstall the injectors & start the engine (have rag ready to stuff in the air intake in case of 'runaway') Bring to operating temp (at no load) to polish the cylinder walls. Let soak a week. Rewarm, etc. Drain the crankcase ..... Should remove the carbon crap from the piston ring grooves, polish the rust from the cyl. walls --- will probably have MORE compression than when the engine was shut down 6 years ago. |
