Default Free Worldwide Online Cruising Guides

Hello everyone!

It looks like the free information revolution has started thanks to
Wikipedia. Introducing worldwide online cruising guides that anyone
can edit! Just imagine being able to get detailed information about
your next sailing trip free online, just print it out and take it with
you and your printed guide or map. Marinas, services, navigation
tips... it has it all.

That's the idea, but in the meantime we all need to spread the word,
and spread the knowledge to make this idea come to fruition on a site I
call www.CaptainWiki.com. The site is non-commercial and open to
everyone. Many sailors and liveaboard cruisers have worked hard
together for about a year to give you the site as it is today...

And now, finally... the world is waiting and ready for your tips on
marinas, the best island anchorage, what bouys have gone missing and
whatever else you would like to say to Cruisers In Your Wake.

Templates of over 4,000 marinas, and all the countries of the world
(over 200) have been entered already to make sure you are not working
on the "stuff that doesn't matter" like site navigation.

Check out this sample of a marina in Colombia:

Here is a sample cruising guide for Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela:

Come join the 100+ users who are already enjoying making a real
contribution to the sailing community! We still have a lot of work to
do but the benefits are clear, come join us and have some sailing guide
fun!

Fair winds and calm seas,
Ben

Here's what Captain Woody from the sailing and cruising magazine
"Latitudes & Attitudes" says about CaptainWiki.com:
"What a great idea! I recently returned from a 2 year cruise, could've
used something like that!"
