I agree that the story sounds fishy; but so what? It's a sales tool,
just like claiming "15 bags of sails included." The story is
unimportant; the condition of the boat is what's important. If those
other folks got a survey, *that* would be significant to look at. And,
of course, as you're planning, a rigorous survey of your own with your
offer contingent on very specific parameters from the survey results.

P.S. I'm jealous (as usual) 'cause Ronnie and the girls are still
strongly leaning toward RVing right now and cruising a couple of years
from now; but the Seattle Freedom 38 owner is asking only $65K and
he's desperate to sell and the boat is in excellent shape. Sigh! My
life is soooo hard! Whine, whine, whine. I hope this one works out for
y'all!
