A while back I wrote a series of posts about installing and setting up a
small radar using the Questus self-leveling backstay mount. The result was a first-rate system that has served well, but along the way I had one or two incidents with the manufacturer. For example, the parts as initially shipped _did_not_fit_. In any case I was able to do a workaround. Recently I ordered a dual GPS antenna mount from Questus. This is essentially a flat alloy bar with holes drilled to accept standard antenna mount lugs. Pretty simple, although it costs $134. When the part arrived it was scratched, and the fasteners and other assembly components were missing. Whaa? This time Questus replaced the entire shipment with no questions (as well they should). -- Good luck and good sailing. s/v Kerry Deare of Barnegat http://kerrydeare.tripod.com |
