I was worried about getting the straps down under the keel and not wacking the mast. Is there something I should know about the whole procedure before I give it a try??? Welllll...... with a swing keel, you should know that it's really simple to trailer launch and retrieve a Catalina 22 if you have a decent ramp. Especially if you have an extendable trailer tongue. I'd venture to say it'd be quicker, simpler, and safer to do it that way. I can see all sorts of unnecessary problems with the "strap under the hull" hoist method. Rick ------- launched a C22 MANY times. |

would like to keep it at the club and lauch it with our 2 ton winch. Do you know how / if this can be done? I'm sure it can be done. Just not as simply as ramp launching/retrieving. Rick |
