I posted a query about finding a fabricator to make me a stainless
steel water tank the other day. I posted both here and in rec.boats.building and have learned that the cost of the stainelss steel would run the cost up to several thousand dollars. Can't afford stainless so I am looking for other suggestions. I can not use stock tanks as it is for the port water tank on a Morgan OI 41. This tank holds about 70 gallons and is made to fit upright against the port hull. How about plastic? Can they be made to fit? Does plastic hold up? Can they be made with baffles? The failed tank was made of galvanized steel. Perhaps this is the route I should take? Suggestions gratefully received? George |
