Default USVI Bareboat Charter

I am contemplating chartering out of the USVI this year instead of the
BVI but I don't know any of the companies.

Can y'all recommend any good bareboat charter companies in the USVI?

Thanks in advance.

The island packet bunch is *very* highly regarded in the sailnet/sailjazz
mailing lists.

Island Yachts, I think they're called..

VIP Charters. All power boats, no sail as far as I know.

Caribbean Yacht Owners Association (CYOA) is a quasai-cooperative of boat
owners that manages bareboat charters. Mostly Hunters and a few Bendytoes
with a few cats. They work out of Frenchtown Marina and reports I get say
the boats are in good shape. .

I'm not a fan of sailing the USVI. All of what they offer can be done
from the shore and taxi.

Unless we stayed within the USVI or were down for a month or more and
intended to hit the Spanish Virgins, I'd charter from the BVI. Clearing
into the US can be a PITA.
