![]() wrote in message oups.com... Hola all, Apologies if this is a frequently asked question on the NG. I'm planning to do travel to Hawaii (from the UK) sometime later this year (probably the summer), yet I want to travel sustainably, i.e. no planes. I figured it'll be fairly straightforward to get to the US by boat, and then travel accross to the West coast. Am thus trying to find a way to go from the US mainland to Hawaii... by boat. When I posted on soc.culture.hawaii someone suggested asking here about the possibility of someone needing a crew hand or having a space on their boat. The immediate draw back of me is that I've got little sailing experience. What do you think my chances are? Will hanging around marinas trying to hitch a proverbial lift work? See if you can get someone living near a West Marine to post your request on their bulletin boards. |
