When Bob wanted a radar arch, he found that the prices for them were
prohibitive, so he designed and attempted to make his own. He wanted
it of aluminum pipe however, he his welding skills and equipment
weren't up to the task. So he contracted with a place that usually
did things like fire escapes - i.e. a metal fabrication place that
didn't have any idea what the thing was that they were building.

He designed it so it could be taken apart in pieces so he could
transport it on the roof at the car. They made it of schedule 40
aluminum pipe which they powder coated. We also have a wind
generator, a TV antenna and a solar panel on the arch.

Some pictures in an album from #18 to 25. You can just go directly to
