Excluding limitations and premiums/discounts applied by the insurance
company for, the area you intend to sail and the qualifications of the operator(s), between 1.5 to 2.0 % of the assessed value per annum. When choosing insurance, your choice should be based on the claim payment history and not premium. You may find that adequate insurance is simply not available or affordable. This is especially true if international sailing is your goal. This estimate is for hull only. If chartering is your goal, liability insurance is on top and in addition to hull insurance. Steve "ScouseRanger" wrote in message ups.com... Hi, I hope to live aboard and charter a 70+ft schooner/gullet. Anyone any idea approx how much the Insurance will cost me?? Ive asked for a couple of quotes but it seems theyre not interested as I dont acyually own a boat yet. Thx regardless, |
