Why would you need 3 mooring lines when one wwould do just fine? I
think this is solving a non-existent problem

You haven't moored, then.

We have and a single line just isn't sufficient through a complete
season. I don't know that I'd want the system that started the thread,
but I'm sure a single line is only for those who don't love their baby
as much as we love ours.
