I've just read through their complete journal and it is a fortunate and thankful thing for them and their families that they survived their adventure. I'm sure it's not up to me to judge whether or not these two gentlemen were as prepared for passage-making as they could have been but these guys sounded like they were the accident that found its place to happen. It is just heart-breaking to see a boat as nice as a Niagara 35 end up like that. Hinterhoeller made great boats and it's just a damn shame to see one lost in such a pointless fashion. |
