Wasn't that "Dobie" Gillis?

Like, endsville for me, daddy-o,

Frank

P.S. Calvert is religious.
P.P.S. I'd *strongly* encourage you to look into unschooling,
especially at his age!

Has anyone looked into the courses developed by the Australian Government
for distance learning?

Thanks for the reply.
I haven't looked into any schools but one's that would be accredited
in the US. That's where he'll be going to college or high school.

We are looking into Oak Meadow, an accredited course from Vermont that
is NOT faith-based. We are planning to pull ours for a year and do the
Great Loop.

We looked at the Calvert correspondence programs and took the course
outlines to the principal at our kids school. He looked them over and
said, "Yup, looks like grades 2+3 and 4+5 to me".

He gave us the books for grade 2+3 and 4+5 for our 2 kids. He said "We
don't need the text books back. Have the kids do every question and keep
their workbooks. When you come back, show me the workbooks and they will
be promoted."

That was about as simple as it could possibly get ... and it was free.

Your mileage may vary depending on your school.

Good luck!
