I am a professional portrait artist and was wondering whether people think it is a good idea to offer my services to boat owners, that is, I would like to paint boat portraits. I am already involved in the portraiture of people, animals, homes, etc., but would really like to paint (or possibly use pastels) a cherished boat: I love to do large, graceful "objects" (architecturally interesting buildings and streets, large homes and gardens, for example) and feel enthusiastic about doing a boat. All I need is a client! Any ideas...? Is this even a good idea itself? I don't think it is a bad idea. One thing most of us lack enough of are nice images of our boats under sail. Ryk Would you work from a favourite photo??? |

Ryk Would you work from a favourite photo??? Yes, this is exactly how we work. Again, if anyone is interested in such a service, do not hesitate to use the email address we have set up for this purpose: (Is google censoring email addresses now? If so the address is mmh799 at hotmail) We are portraitists who do work of loved ones, pets, and cherished property; we're especially interested in anyone who would like to give a portrait as an Easter gift. I am also interested in exploring the idea of offering a 10% finders' fee, something which could be rather lucrative to the "finder", as our prices range across several thousand dollars, for those who can help us find new clients.. feel free to post or mail me on this. Thanks to you all. |
