Martin, as a ex Canadian can I say that the best thing I did (and I am a slow learner) is that after 31 years of living in a climate that was 9 months winter and 3 months bad sleding (only joking rhys) I moved to Australia. I like my water in the liquid state and I can sail 365 days a year providing the weather is reasonable. A bad winter's day in Melbourne is 5-10 degrees C.
