Years ago I bought a 9.1 at an auction. I was bidding against a broker who
lost. After the sale he told me that the 9.1 was more boat than I could handle alone and he would graciously trade me even a 9.2c sitting at his dock. LOL.......... Funny story. The broker knew what he was doing. As far as not being to handle a 9.1 by yourself hey it's a 30' masthead rigged boat. It's obvious he was just trying to scare you into giving up the boat. I sail my very similar Express 30 all the time myself. The 9.1 is a great dual purpose boat. Period. Oh, and they have done a great job of holding their value which you found out.
