Hate to bust your bubble Don but we don't have a tax funded medical system
in the USA. If I need medical care my private insurer won't cover and I
can't afford then I die.

It's true; that's what many of us think. In fact, we have an expensive
public health care system provided by County Hospitals, who provide
indigent care. The expended costs are staggering.
