Default propellor

Can anyone point me in the direction of a website ( or whatever ) to
learn more about propellors?

I have a 28' planing launch, 200 HP V8 GMC 3,500 RPM, Mercruiser stern
leg and top speed is 9 knots - it doesn't even get on the plane.

Suspicion has fallen on the prop.

many thanks!

No wonder, you're about 100 hp short of minimum. What RPM are you making and
what prop do you have?
