Must be a good mag - one of my photos is in it!!
Something like page 98 or thereabouts. Highly
excited.

BTW, reading BlueWater Cruising last night on
the iPad (Zinio). The review of the Jeanneau
Sun Odyssey 41DS says it has a 400hp motor.
Damn that thing's gotta be quick. Beats the
daylights out of my 56hp Yanmar.
I think maybe nobody checked the data before it
hit the printer.

That would certainly bring the concept of a motor sailer to a whole
new level. :-)

Might as well get a trawler at that point and pick up a fly bridge and
a lot more space as part of the bargain.

// Agreed !

Yah! Go forth and pollute the world. Smooth move, ExLax!!!!

If you are going to disparage the motor boat blokes it would seem a
bit fictitious to do so while that outboard is strapped on the back of
your boat.....

A 6 HP, 4-stroke outboard, when it's infrequently used, burns all of about a
quart per hour. This represents about ten seconds-worth of the pollution a 13
gallon per hour diesel spews. Sails produce no pollution at all. You should
try it some time, Bruce. Oh, BTW, Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Polluters are polluters. Your assertion that you are only ****ing in
the stew pot only a little bit is simply rationalization. Like the
girl that is only a little bit pregnant.

To quote someone or another, "A real sailor relies on his sails".
