No but we have been primarily using the CMAP-NT chart chip for the
Caribbean and have been very happy with its accuracy and coverage
using a Furuno GPS/plotter. For backup I've been using Maptech BSB
charts on a laptop. They are reasonably good for most places but not
as accurate as the CMAP.

Yeah, thanks Wayne. I've got the CMAP chip. Just like to have the
paper as well.

I don't know if you have to be a member, but Seven Seas Cruising Association
in Ft. Lauderdale has an entire room full of boxes of charts. $3 each or
trade 1-1.

I've come home on more than one occasion with over $100 worth per trip...

Wow! One would think the Intracoastal Waterway could be adequately covered
with far fewer charts than that!

I don't know - we only used guide books and our chart plotter in the very
few times we were in the ICW.

However, I can tell you there were a PILE of books and charts for the
TennTom through Chicago, a route a prior owner had used at one point.

So, perhaps there are a lot of charts for the ICW.

I was getting east coast charts, particularly harbors, Bahamas and beyond.
At that, however, the Bahamas charts have been given away as the Explorer
charts are complete and much more convenient.

In Black Point at the moment, and still wondering when you're going to come
whip our sorry asses :{)) The next log will reveal our slight disadvantage
in light winds, but our notable advantage with anything over about 9 knots,
relative to an Endeavour 42...
