I was unsure about flying the Stars n Stripes on a short sail down the
Intra-Coastal 2 or three weeks ago. So my son hauled out the Chapman: Piloting and Seamanship when we got home. "It is never wrong for an American crew to fly the Stars n Stripes" Though there is an alternative. And Chapman was not pleased that we flew it high on the aft stay - but admits it happens.... Can't remember seeing Chapman mentioned on this group. Amazon has it used (of course...) THE reference for sailboaters and power boaters. Brian W |
