My son has a couple of boats. He mentioned the Gulf Intracostal Guide to
me on my last visit to Corpus Christi. It talks about the inshore
passage up the Gulf Coast. That might be helpful.

Also get a copy of Freya Rauscher cruising guide to Mexico, Belize and
the Caribbean Coast. A must have.

Go to: http://www.opc.ncep.noaa.gov/index.shtml then go to 24hr.
48hr and 96hr WIND AND WAVE forecasts .... look at the chart
explanation for the graphic definition of the Gulf Stream.
