Hi,

This plan is in it's very early stages so please have patience with
me. I am thinking of buying a boat for a bit of an adventure I have
in mind for next year and would appreciate advice on the feasibility
of my plan. Basically the plan is to go travelling around europe next
summer and rather than do this the obvious way (by VW Camper!) I would
like to try doing it by boat. Is this a good idea? I would want to
set off from the UK, go across the chalnnel into France, and then
there is no plan....

Please could you advise me on a wise choice of boat, budget etc...(I
am looking to do this cheaply and am quite happy to rough it in a boat
with not many facilities), also any advice on the best route or
anecdotal stories from people who have done this before would be
excellent.
