My heart bleeds. At least now they get a taste of what they have inflicted on the rest of us. You have to wonder about the Bush administration. Can they do anything right? To **** off all the Cubans in Florida in an election year? Do they seriously think restricting travel like this is going to cause the fall of Castro and his government? They really should have the air quality in the White House checked. Something is making them think they can just have it their way. They probably only ****ed off about half of the Cuban "exile" community. I heard an interesting news piece on Cuban American attitudes on this and related issues. There is a fairly sharp divide based on age and date of arrival. Later arrivals and those younger in age are much more moderate in their views. Moderation of views is not a winning formula in South Florida, though ![]() Cuban Americans this past weekend and they seemed all for it, but I would classify them as exceptions to the rule as they were from a family that would not be welcome back in Cuba regardless of the laws. The real question is does this administration realize how much they have antagonized the sailing community? ![]() |
