Absolutely NO NEW BATTERY will read under 13.5 volts, even with a 20A load,

Uh oh. "Exotic places" strikes again. The replacements are elsewhere.
There are many "gotchas" to be found in Skip's posts.
I really appreciate the value provided by those.
His "can do" attitude is great.
But I still prefer a "don't have to" approach when possible, as I'm
sure he does too.
