Definitely! Only two products I recommend: Raritan K.O. (live
aerobic bacteria) and Odorlos--which works on the same principle,
but from a different direction: the active ingredient in Odorlos is
nitrates, which promote oxygen release from organic matter (waste),
oxygenating the contents to some extent.

That got me to thinking--would it make sense to use both products at
the same time? K.O. to provide the bacteria and Odorlos to provide
the oxygen needed to keep the bacteria working?

That would be a "belt and suspenders" approach. If Odorlos works, you
don't need K.O. too. If K.O. works, it's getting enough oxygen without
the need for Odorlos. Besides, using Odorlos to oxygenate the contents
enough to allow the bacteria in K.O. to function aerobically only works
if Odorlos is added weekly according to directions...if the nitrates
exhaust themselves, the bacteria in K.O. will no longer have the
additional oxygen they need to function aerobically. So use the one that
works...you don't need the other one. With either, there's enough
naturally occuring bacteria in waste to break down solids and paper.
