Default Mercruiser lube oil - empties into the bildge

I have a 350 MAG with a bravo III - i replaced the lube bottle with a
new one - and it empties into the bildge. When the engine/outdrive is
warm - it empties very quickly, when it is just sitting there - it
empties over night. The hose and bottle seam dry (no oil residue) -
does anyone have any suggestions on where to look next?
