Default Tyvek sails: a question for those who have used Tyvek?

How well does Tyvek hold up when used to for sail making?

When it does fail do you think it's because of UV light or stress?

Thanks.

Sorry I don't know it's longevity but it should wear out before it
fails. It would just fail if it were not reparied or replaced in time.

I've made one small sail www.ncf.ca/~ag384/TyvekSail.htm with unusual
features. I haven't put many hours on it but for a cheap sail it seems
okay.
