I am looking for a fabricator to make a stainless port water tank for
my Morgan OI 41. It is a fairly large tank so ideally the maker would be on the east coast of Florida since shipping could be costly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Please be advised that one tank is not a good idea, especially is you use a
watermaker. In case of failure, your entire water supply will be contaminated. On the stainless tank fabrication, be ready for the cost. I made 2 tanks last summer out of 316TI. One was 1000 liters and the other 500 liters. I used 3 mm plate for the ease of welding, 2 mm is troublesome in that size. The material alone was in excess of $2,000 and the labor for me and a friend was 2 weeks. Add to this inspection hatches, studded flanges and mounts. Steve "nobody" wrote in message ... Once you have priced 316L stainless, plastic tanks start looking real
good... denny |
