Default image of duck weights being used

For a talk on the history of the spline I was hoping to use an image,
modern or historical, of duck or whale weights being used to set out a
timber spline.
I have found a few images of the duck weights themselves but nothing
showing them in use. Does anyone know of a link where I could find
something like this?

Thanks

Ashley

Try an older copy of Skene's Elements of Yacht Design ( Francis S. Kinney),
mine is ~ '62.

There is an illustration of the ducks and splines at the begining of Chapter
II, Tools Required, fig. 1.

I took a quick look through my library and couldn't find anwhere but
Skene. In the eighth edition (1973) it's still there, but he moved
the chapter to the back of the book.

You might find an old K&E catalog on eBay....

I've uploaded a 1200dpi gif to

Sorry i have been too busy to return to this website, thanks for all
your help the talk went down well, the duck weight images got a lot of
attention. seems everybody would rather be building boats than be at
university.

Thanks again
