My son and I looked at an old Laser sailboat. The price was ok but the
deck was soft. When I pressed down I heard cracking and in one place it looked as if it was delaminating from the ply below. Does the Laser have a ply reinforced deck? Has abybody ever done a repair on such. My guess is that almost all of the ply below the deck nedds repalcement. Getting the deck off looks to be impossible. I looks as if the area around the mast step may have been repaired in the past. I could probably get this boat for maybe $600 with trailer and the old sail (worn out but serviceable). Any thoughts on this? |

I agree, it is a loser, even for a stubborn person like me. Thanks all for your views David |
