Default help! seal my windows.

i'm at wits end. when i got the boat it had plexiglass ports/windows
fastened with ss screws every 4 inches and bedded with what was
probably walmart grade silicone caulk. they leaked like a sieve. i
hate silicone, it doesn't adhere to hardly anything and once you've
used it, nothing else will stick to the surface either.
so i used 101 to rebed all the windows (i know, i've since read that
polysulfide is not compatible with acrylic/lexan). i think i got a bad
case of 101 'cause the stuff has never vulcanized to my liking, kind
of remaining a semi rubbery puttylike substance. is that normal?
anyway, half of the rebedded windows leaked. so i tried the new 4200
stuff. that was the worst yet. brand new plastic literally fell off!
don't really want to use 5200. anyone had any good luck with anything?
one of the new hybrid silicones?
thanks for the help in advance
