im putting fibreglass cloth with epoxy resin on my boat and wanted to paint it, but i dont know if i have to use primer first or just add the paint? any help would be appreciated, if i use primer, which type do i get? thanks, First, read the docs that came with your epoxy; they are not all the same. Second, wash the area first with soapy water to remove any blush (common on most boatbuilding epoxies, though there are some non-blushing versions out there). Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. Use the primer designed for the topcoat, as long as there are no warnings against it in the epoxy docs. |
