For many decades the dem's have been saying they are the party that will
lead the poor out of their misery. This probably relates more to the
blacks in this country than any other group. And this time we even have
the possibility of a black president to carry out those promises. Dem's do
not lower taxes. Dem's never actually do what they say they will to help
the poor because they would lose their voter base if they actually did
help them. The problem that the poor endures has gone on for decades and
won't be helped any more by Obama than any past democrat has helped them.
As the old saying goes--"You can lead a liberal to knowledge, but you
can't make him think".

And don't forget-- in the last 50-60 years, dem's have had the presidency
and control of congress a lot more often than the reverse, but still never
helped the poor out of their plite.

Even worse than not helping them is that their policies breed and expand the
underclass.

But compare America's poor to the poor of Africa or South America. America's
poor would be upper middle class in those areas and throughout a good
portion of the world. America's poor own cars, have at least 2 televisions
and eat enough to merit a BMI of 30 or greater.

Compared to the rest of the world, America has no poverty.

I disagree. The U.S.A. has a great deal of poverty. The poverty in no so
much an economic poverty but a poverty of ideas and a poverty of thinking
voters. A large group of voters who support socialism the likes of which
Obama is openly advocating and are proud of the fact tells me there is voter
poverty galore. Obama is such a bold-faced liar and hypocrite. His Auntie
has been living illegally in a slum for the past five years. Another illegal
on the public dole and Obama claims he knows nothing about it. Yah, right!

Once again, you are absolutely right Wilbur. Poverty is a mental state. For
some it is a temporary economic state but it is the mental state that makes
it chronic.

Even more tragic is your average 300 lb black female Democratic voter.
She's a good 180 lbs overweight which means she is storing an excess of
630,000 Calories. Those Calories would feed your average Ethiopian for 1 1/4
years. Plus fattie is storing enough lard that she could go on water and
vitamins alone, resulting in a normal weight after one year.

Nope. Hispanics are the largest US minority.

Like Clinton, who reduced the welfare rolls and was considered by blacks to
be the first black president.

Totally meaningless, since either party would have to have a filibuster
proof majority in the Senate to actually be in control.

Get your facts straight.
