I wonder what group of vessels the Coast Guard can put snowmobiles?
http://www.whotv.com/Global/story.asp?S=8622537 Perhaps a new group called TIW for "Track In Water?" Similar to WIG which is Wing In Ground. Wilbur Hubbard |

Similar to WIG which is Wing In Ground. Wilbur Hubbard There is a group of snowmobile owners who like to race on water. Dunkings are frequent and quickly dealt with. The lake is shallow, and a bouyant cushion and a length of line make finding it easy. As long as they weren't running when immersed, they start right up. Boating magazine reported all this, several years ago. They did a comparison with a PWC with the identical engine, and the snow machine was faster. |
