from the fiasco last January. Surprised I didn't have more, but hardly
anything seemed to be worth taking pictures of, at the time.

Seriously though. I wasn't around here last year and I can't turn up
the old thread. I'd love to know how you got into this and what would

Seriously, the kid rowing the boat was 23?, really great guy, mature
beyond his years but with zero offshore experience and very little
sailing experience, was afraid that he might sail off with the old man
and get himself killed. He'd never done an offshore before and was
anxious to go. He taught at inner city schools in NYC and if something
happened to him because I didn't go I would never have forgiven myself.

What happened to Joe?

Everybody knows Joe turned into a total disgrace.

He did the following dumb things:

1) Called for a rescue by helicopter when no rescue was needed.

2) Panicked because he got caught in a cold front.

3) Abandoned ship when abandoning ship was totally premature.

4) Allowed a weak woman to cause him to abandon ship prematurely.

5) Became a total wimp and a discrace to the word "sailor."

6) Proved to the whole world that he is NO SAILOR!

7) Proved the folly of big windows and pilot houses.

8) Went offshore totally unprepared and demonstrated his ineptitude.

9) Showed how stupid and unseaworthy an old steel boat with an ill-conceived
steering mechanism is.

10) Proved once and for all he is a fool, a wimp, a chicken **** wannabe,
and a disgrace.
