The Texas Tall Ship Elissa takes first place in her division.
wrote in Nah, all you need to do is add some topmasts to the ones you have now. Add tops'ls, t'gallants, and royals; you could beat Elissa! And if not, think how much fun it would be climbing aloft to your new yardarms. Biggest disadvantage in modern rigs IMHO, you can't swing mutineers & pirates from the yardarm. Swinging them from a carbon fiber spinnaker pole just ain't the same. hey Doug, I saw this sweet looking small 20' boat the other day, 2 masts, a long 8' bow sprit and yardarms for small square sails ( not up when I saw her). I had my hands full and couldn't get a pic. SBV |
