Default Switlik raft..1972

Well I just had to do it. Had a 30 man 1972 Switlik 30 man life raft
thats been in storage forever...

Popped it off last night..and low and behold she inflated perfectly.
Still tight as a drum this AM. Was owned by Delta airlines. IMO a bit
short on water..3 -16 oz cans for 30 people. Good thing they had a
bible in it... if 30 people had to survive on so little water for any
time they would need to pray for rain. Jelly cubes of some sort, lots
of biscuts, a whistle, signal mirror, one flare, survival book, sea
anchor, and a nifty knife with a spoon and fork on it. Bad thing----
the sea dye container had burst and we all got covered with an orange
dye that turns the water a bright green, I'm saving whats left of it
for when all the Mexicans are fishing... I'm going to sneek it in the
water and turn the place green on them. Had I known it was still so
tight and sound I would not have popped it off..it would have been
perfect to lay on the cabin floor and pop off it the boat were to
start sinking...positive floatation for sure. Ill get pictures
today...it's huge! I'm going to have to read the instructions for the
canopy..it has an aluminum frame system and 6 water collection bags.

So now..what do you do with a 35 year old liferaft?

Joe
Will buy a Switlik!

Sell it to the Boobster, (for way too much, he'll claim to have paid
some ridiculously low price for it anyway) perfect one man air mattress
for him! Or he could inflate in his "Screening Room" while watching
"White Squall", post pictures and film on YouTube, and claim to be a
tall ship master!

Cheers

One of the girls last night was taking pictures, she said she would
email me the best ones. I will set it all up and take some nice photos
and post them when I get the time.

I've got to bend on the sails today and re-install the sail packs,
reefing lines, ect..ect..ect.. in the rain..

Also going to send some pictures to Switlik, they might get a kick out
of them.

Considering it's aged and assumed good condition, they might want to
build and ad around it. Clearly, after so many years, it's an
impressive product. Trade them for a brand new one. Throw in a little
story about how you're saving your pennies for a new raft!
You never know...

Spoken like a true used boat salesman. I thought you claimed you only
lied in newsgroups, but never in business.

Capt. Rob, aka Robert Brody aka Bobsprit aka Asshole is a pathological
liar. Didn't you read the post where he met every single example and
definition of a pathological liar?

Yea. Listen to Jeff. If they want it just give to them. And be sure to
pay for shipping.
These knuckleheads have no imagination, but the folks who run that
company may be as impressed as you are regarding it's condition. I'd
send them pics with a little note on how amazed you are at the
condition. It's great ad copy.
Obviously the only problem here is that YOU found it and not Jeff.
Hubbard is a sockpupet and of no matter at all.
