You can tell he's happy with and proud of his Mac. I bet you can't find a site anywhere on the Web about some dumb PDQ catamaran. -- Cheerio, Ed Gordon http://www.freewebs.com/egordon873/index.htm You mean like this one?: http://www.thecatspjs21.com/ I looked at it and it's pathetic. What did I get out of that site. I got that the guy is bored. There's no happiness and no enthusiasm. The boat's the master of the man and not vice versa like it's supposed to be. When you sail a Mac you feel in control. When you sail some big heavy wide boat like the PDQ you feel like you're just along for the ride with no options and no feel or feedback. Might as well stay home. -- Cheerio, Ed Gordon http://www.freewebs.com/egordon873/index.htm So PDQ websites don't exist because the first one I found and linked you to you find "boring" and "pathetic." Glad to see you are maintaining your objectivity, Ed. I'm objective to a fault. When I said PDQ sites don't exist I meant they don't exist like the Mac26 sites where people are excited and genuine. Some catamaran site that makes it seem like the guy is just going through the motions bored stiff is not really a site like the Mac sites now is it? -- Cheerio, Ed Gordon http://www.freewebs.com/egordon873/index.htm |

Likewise, not being a PDQ fan, you find them boring. If you can't find people who are "excited and genuine" on the following link, you are beyond hope: http://www.pdqforum.com/phpBB2/ And no, I do not own a PDQ or any other cat. If it ain't a Rawson 30 Ketch, it's crap. ;-) |

Or having a presence on the net? Please don't take me wrong, K. Nothing wrong with this site. I have nothing against any other boats - or boaters (even Mac types). It just seems to me that there are more net cruisers than wet cruisers. And they like to bitch about stuff that is pointless in real life... FWIW... Richard |

Yes, that's why I bought the boat, so I can have a presence on the net. You've found me out. I guess its time to dump the boat and buy an airplane, I can probably make a real nice site about that! Please don't take me wrong, K. Nothing wrong with this site. I have nothing against any other boats - or boaters (even Mac types). It just seems to me that there are more net cruisers than wet cruisers. Some of us live where sailing can only be a part time avocation. Today is my daughter's last day of school so you'll have to survive without me for much of the summer. And they like to bitch about stuff that is pointless in real life... Why not? What should we bitch about? |
