NEW CAR is here!
Bubbles' desire isn't on-road performance, Norm. He's only seeking
bragging rights, but I've trumped him with a Lotus Exige Sport, which is on order. His Legacy may have slightly better straight-line performance, Bragging rights on a Subaru GT sedan? Haven't you been claiming you're buying a Lotus? A LGT will not outrun the Exige. What specs are you looking at? RB 35s5 NY |

Wonder whether BS has ever actually pulled an engine apart himself and put it back together. Atomic 4 in my old Pearson 30. It's a very simple engine, fun and easy to work on. I've never worked on a modern engine, nor would I want to. RB 35s5 NY |

The $200 bolt on kits that you are playing with does change the performance of the car. There are subtle tradeoffs and you don't seem to be aware of any. What 200 dollar kits? The Cobb programming module is not 200 dollars, nor is a CAI and exhaust. I'm not interested in race track performance. I'm interested in small tweaks for fun driving on local roads that are generally empty. I have direct experience with these subtle mods on a 2005 LGT and it's clear that you don't. A bump to 285 HP and the addition of pink springs is not going to hurt anything, and if you read the LGT and WRX forums, then you know this already. As for the stock performance, a AWD sedan with a great Q factor that can outrun most European SD's is pretty cool. RB 35s5 NY They are $200 kits. Springs, CAI or exhaust. The CAI works because the turbo is anemic. Over rev the turbo with the new exhaust and CAI and see what happens. You have no direct experience with anything other than $200 kits. No wheels, tunable struts, turbo upgrade, or anything requiring work and $$$$. You don't even mention the well known fuel pump lag. You have never been on a track or a club member. Instead you play Mario Andretti wannabe on public highways. If your streets are so empty why do you claim to have beaten a Porsche and raced a Corvette already? At what track? You are out looking for races on public roads. You are dangerous and risk the lives of innocent people. Please, get some performance driving lessons and buy a block of time at a track. The people you won't kill will thank you for it. Stop being a jerk. Norm Howe |

Now it works because the turbo is anemic. Oops. If you're gonna troll via googling at least try to keep track of what you write. Sorry, you crashed fast. RB 35s5 NY |

That would negate his bragging rights at being able to afford to *pay* for such things. Max |

All of your budget level mods make the car go faster in a straight
line. You are not a regular or ever have been on a race track. You are a reckless fool turning the public roads into your personal drag strip. You never had high speed driving instruction. You are too chicken and inexperienced to go out on a track and go head to head with others. You race in traffic, others have to find out the hard way you are racing. You have no experience in high speed driving. Your experience is simply in speeding, that is breaking the law. You put others at risk with your reckless driving. You can't handle a faster car. You have no skill. You want straight line fast. Did I mention you are reckless, unsafe and a law breaker? You have never driven a car at high speed on a twisty road for more than 90 seconds. Try going for an hour continuous on a track. Sounds like your sailing ethic is splashing into your driving. Unsafe. Reckless. Unlawful. No commitment. Unskilled. No mettle. Driveway/dock queen. All show with nothing to show. It's all about you. Get real tires. Replace that undersized turbo. Get some struts. Get a pair of balls. Most importantly: Get your jollies on a race track. Be considerate of those who use the public roads and obey the law. We all can use one less asshole on the road. Norm Howe |

I'm sure BB will loan him a complete set of Whitworths. They'll fit everything from SAE to metric. Max |
