This childish nonsense reminds me of a couple of 6th
graders.

That does it. You're not invited to my birthday party.

Max

When's your bday? Is it soon? Haggie and I celebrate ours together since
she's a day older than me...(snicker...old hag...)

September, but I'm not going to relent before then. Scotty is un-invited.

Max

It's not a supercar at all. But it is probably the best handling car you
can buy for under $100K. The Exige I have on order is a sport
version--read: lighter and suspended more for the track. It will probably
see as much track mileage as road time. I don't have time for an SCCA
campaign, but I can do the occasional track day.

Max

MAx, I think we have different definitions for Supercar. Handling to
me is the biggest element of what makes a car "great." Back in the day
my friends and I would laugh at straight line only metal like Grand
Nationals and Vettes. Either they couldn't handle or were very nervous
rides on any real twisty that wasn't perfectly smooth. No matter what
power a Mustang had, that fixed rear would always be the achilles
heal. A car like my Speed6 would murder a lot of faster cars with it's
refinded handling and quarter miles under 14 seconds is plenty of
power for the twisty runs...more than needed perhaps. These days there
are many cars pulling stock numbers that used to pretty rare. So for
me: if the car handles great and it can do a 1/4 mile in 5 seconds,
that's pretty "super." If it can do 165 MPH then it's a done deal. Now
there are cars that do 200 MPH and sub 4 second runs and quarters in
under 11 seconds. But they are usually not daily drivers. For example,
we could not use an STI as a daily driver with it's rally ready setup.
In that regard I would agree that an M5 is fantastic....fast AND
liveable day to day.
The Elise is the best handling car off the shelf so even without crazy
power it's certainly deserving of a supercar ranking. You also have to
give it up to the Elise because of the Toyota powerplant will be Miata
reliable. Talk about having your cake and eating it too.
One thing we can agree on...it's a fantastic time to be in love with
cars. Even my buddies BMW 330XI (that he bought used for a small sum
of 20K) is an amazingly refined car with plenty of fast fun on tap. As
you can probably tell I'm an AWD convert, which is why I chose the
Mazdaspeed6. I also live in a hilly windy area that can get snowy, so
I'd had to show some practicallity!

So are those who live in mountainous, jet stream terrain that get 20+ feet
of snow a year and drive front wheel drive cars better drivers than you?

In bad driving conditions it's not how fast you can go, it's how fast can
you stop. That is a matter of tires of which you know nothing!

Ground clearance is another factor you missed. But then you don't get
several 3 foot snowstorms a year otherwise you would be driving a Unimog! Or
too frightened to live there!

Mooo-haa-haaa!

Wasn't the Tribeca the ideal car?

Then you "gave" it to the old man.

Now he's driving a Forester!

What happened to the pig with wings?

Speaking of pigs, when are you getting rid of the Kia?

2006 Kia Sedona has the same or more recalls than any previous year!

Moooo-haaa-haaaa!!!!!!!

Stay tuned for sailing pics!!

I think Max won.

Dave and Max have beaten the living daylights out of RB.

Max has a much faster racing boat that he will actually

race!

Max has a real sports car that he will actually race!

Bobsprit is left with an older tricked out semi cruiser

that he will never
race.

Bobsprit is left with an inexpensive consumer car that he

can pretend to
race (as long as nobody is watching).

Max has clubbed him royally. Boobers has lost any bragging

rights, he is so
outclassed.

Now Dave has repeatedly beaten him over the head with a

stanchion pipe.
Those questions about RB directing and stealing credits

sure shut him up.
Dave's questions about city living hammered it home.

RB has little left to troll with. He is outclassed and

outgunned.

Then his jokes about lakefront property! Why would the

buyer contact his
lawyer? Is it such a mega deal the lawyer has to list it?

Is the lawyer
listed as the owner? I can smell the fish from the lake

all the way out
here! Boobers is so inexperienced in real estate he has no

clue, he can't
even make up a believable lie!

Watch him leave a huge brown streak in a few weeks when I

finally get around
to posting some sailing pictures. It will make him jump up

and hit his head
on his 7 foot ceiling in his subterranean home theatre

(that's another way
of saying basement).

Gee, I should try to stop by here more often in the summer so I can
keep up with the Boob's purchases. OK another kiddie car rice
rocket. Not impressed. I've already owned one of the worlds fastest
accelerating production cars years ago. I gave up the performance car
hobby. No fun since they add a new stop light somewhere every week
these days. When you post that you sold your kid to Angelena Jolie
and your skank wife left you for a fellow runaway I'll get excited for
you.

I think even a BMW M3 (07) or an M5 (06) will dust your Evo or WRX.

None of these cars are so different in speed that they'll dust each
other and I'll always prefer the AWD launch over rear wheel in spite
of the small weight penalty. In fact they are so close in speed that
small mods to any will give a leg up.
