Might be worth taking into consideration how much energy is needed to make a
photovoltaic cell. (between a rock and a hard place springs to mind). If you sail a GRP boat you might be able to give yourself additional sleepless nights about the contents of your hull. Or what about that nice new spectra halyard. You are on a hiding to nowhere.Oh did I mention the dacron sails, or the cost to the environment of forgeing that nice CQR. How did you get to the marina ? car ?.. and did you really leave the TV in standby mode ? If you want to do something for the environment use the bicycle to go to work and only fly once a year, in one direction of course.
