Used to be an old sailboat with this basic type of bow in Hyannis,
Ma.....name "Moby Dick"....if memory serves it was the first winner of the infamous "FAGAWI" race when it is just a wild freeforallletshavefun, started by Barney Baxter and a few other notables of Baxter's Boathouse Club back in the early 70's. (inverted maybe) There use to be a fleet of boats in the gulf that had the same type set-up, it was a company called Botruck. I wonder if it's a better ride? I heard the botrucks slammed pretty hard, but they did not have as narrow an entry. Anyone ever see a sailboat with this type of bow? Rec cruiser with one? Joe |
