Oh, gor blimey, that must have been a rough night and no mistake, me ol'
mukker. Did you never ever try out a day by starting on the pink gins well
before lunchtime, along with a few IPAs to chase 'em, of course; then a
couple of flagons of the house red with lunch, followed by a few huge
snifters of the local brandy. After that we had to have afternoon tea, of
course, just to wake us up again and clear the palate, then back into it
chums: a few G&Ts before dinner, which would be accompanied by the necessary
red, white, sparkling - "Oh, ****e, I'll take whatever's going, thank you!"

Then a couple of large glasses of Port, followed by a couple of snifters of
cognac, then all of a sudden, you are so bloody dehydrated that you get a
bloody raging thirst again and call for some very cool pints of ale. The
cool ale quenches the thirst and the body craves the alcohol, again, so you
start the whole session all over at any point of the card: i.e. you may now
order beer, spirits, liqueurs, or any other bloody thing that takes your
fancy and the poor bloody stewards still left standing will be more than
happy to oblige you in the hopes you will leave them a drop in the bottles
before you go to bed.

Well, it used to be like that when I worked there, but then, we were always
ready for anything, weren't we?

Not like today's Navy, oh no!

They're not allowesd to drink now, and look at their success rate,
it's rubbish. I bet they were knocking em back during the Falklands.
