Joe,

I can't help but notice your beloved vessel is painted scarlet red and
gold which are the colors of the United States Marine Corps. Are you a
former jarhead? Did you serve in VietNam? What units?
Also tell me about your boat. I know it is made of steel, is it from
pieces of Higgins boats?

Huuu raaa Nathen, I fought on Meatloaf hill, it was a slaughter.
Sargent York yelled "Cut the Mustard" and I opened up with a ma duce
on them yellow mustard commie *******s. Were you there too?

I would be proud to have anything Higgins on my boat.

Joe,

I have an honorable discharge from the USMC also. Boot camp at MCRD in
the 60's. - Not too many of us around.

Regarding your pictures, I'm curious about the one showing RedCloud
approaching the cameraman (or woman) 110 miles offshore. Who was taking
the picture, and where was she/he at the time?

Hey Jim,

I was kidding, I was not a Marine, I served in the Navy.
As for the picture a friend named Andrea on a Morgan Out Island took
that picture.
They now live in Flordia

I'd be totally ashamed to admit a Morgan Out Island was able to get
ahead of me.

There's a big old one on the dock on the way out to our boat...with a
honking big jouse airconditioner sitting on top of the hatch (maybe it's
a boat air conditioner, but it sure looks big enough for a window...)
They have got to be the ugliest boats (except for Coronado 27's, od
course) around...oh..and Columbia 36's...they rank right up there, too...

Went out sailing with them once one night.
When you leaned on the wire lifelines and they hit the standing
rigging it would spark.
He had a bad short somewhere for sure.

We had a friend who once owned an Out Island 34 (or 36, can't recall which),
that couldn't tack in winds under 10kts. without starting the engine.
