Joe,

I can't help but notice your beloved vessel is painted scarlet
red and
gold which are the colors of the United States Marine Corps.
Are you a
former jarhead? Did you serve in VietNam? What units?
Also tell me about your boat. I know it is made of steel, is it
from
pieces of Higgins boats?

You don't say? How many Higgens boats have you manned the helm of
BB?
LCM's? LCMVP? Maybe a PT type?
My first boat was a Higgens LCM, at ABC school on Coronado Island.
She still had blood stains in her bildge.

Joe

Although the Higgins company built other boats. The LCVP was the one
called "Higgins boat".

Coming from a weekend warrior that reply was expected . Do you get all
your knowledge from Wikapedia?

The LCVP is a class of Higgins Boats. As are the LCM's LCPL's, and
LCMVP's. All are known as Higgins boats. If you open the engine box on
one, you will see a mfg's tag that calls the boat a "Higgins Industry"
then model, then number.

The PT's were called Higgins too, as opposed to SwiftShips, Elco's,
Huckins, ect... All boats buildt at Higgin's Industries are Higgens
boat.

What you and the idiot who entered the info on Wikapedia claim.. is a
dumb as saying the only C&C called a C&C is the 28 ftr.

Joe

Peep, peep, peep, peep. . . What's that sound? Oh! I recognize it now .
.. .
Joe, isn't it time to get those French fries out of the deep fat fryer?
Chop chop!
